Hi! Your art is really inspiring, and I strive to hone many off the skills you possess and exhibit in your digital pieces. If you don't mind me asking, do you usually start out this way (values), and then color? I've been really torn on where to start and I believe the flippant focus is stunting me in both processes.
Do you have any advice on either starting with lines and going strait to color, or going strait from values to color?
that crazy weapon she's toting, and the way she's made her armor out of what I assume to be things she's fished up and killed remind me a lot of monster hunter - though I have a feeling that's a speargun and not a gunlance - I could be wrong~
This is both awesome and hilarious. Awesome that she has a gunblade harpoon. Hilarious that she's wearing all this really impractically bulky armor yet none of the armor actually protects her vital organs.
Nice! I really like how you incorporated the harpoon gun and sea monster parts, that spike gauntlet/paldron is wicked. That and anything with skull helmets is bad ass. I especially like the direction you took with the character's physique, it justifies just how she can carry all that gear without hurting herself. I've always loved your character designs, Riot's pretty lucky I'd say.
