I love that you showed some originality and did your own take on the style of Samus' armor here- far too many fan-arts copy the original directly and although impressive lack something as a result. I also love the softness you gave her as well seeing as how some people seem to forget she IS a female after all.
Out of all the Samus art pictures I've seen, both sexualizing and/or badassery, this is no doubt my favorite of them all. Its not just how good the art is (it really is), but what it actually represents. I've always view Samus as quiet, lonely, and brooding, and has no other thought but the objective at hand. This captivates it all, and a lot more insight to the character; her eyes alone speak volumes. No emotion in them, the careless expression on her face, and the battle suit is a prison, trapped in an unending fight against the Space Pirates, and the undying hatred and vengeance against Ridley. Everything but her beloved Chozo friends from that past means nothing to her, and only her skin and beauty makes her human.
I just wish many other artists would follow your example.
